portfolio of work
I have ten years experience as a developer spanning a diverse variety of technologies and skills. I work mainly in e-commerce but also have experience with rich media, hobby/portfolio sites, and general business sites. My main goal with any given project is to create a clean, highly usable site with a clear focus.

Grubb & Ellis Company is a leading real estate services and investment firm. My work with Grubb & Ellis was completed for their highly esteemed Events Department.
What they needed: A way to create a large number of online event info and registration web sites without spendings thousands for each event. What they got: Exactly what they asked for.
The initial work that was completed for them consisted of a database-driven site that allowed simple event info/registration set-up. The next phase of work to be released for Grubb & Ellis will be a more powerful events management web site offering full accessibility through a CMS.

The NJAHS was founded in 1980 in San Francisco, CA. They are a non-profit membership supported organization dedicated to the collection, preservation, authentic interpretation and sharing of historical information of the Japanese American experience for the diverse broader national community.
The NJAHS contacted me in late 2008 asking for a number of major additions / changes to their existing web site. With a lot of planning, we were able to break the work down into a number of phases. Half of these phases have been completed and launched to the web already. The first being a major site overhaul and re-organization, and the second being a new online store, expanding their San Francisco brick-and-mortar shop to people worldwide.

Fuel TV is owned by FOX and is known for their focus on surf, skate and snow programming.
For the Fuel TV web site, I was asked to develop the CSS, (X)HTML and Javascript needed to implement a Pearl Jam video contest design to the web. I was also asked to set-up a ten star rating tool for their video page.
Shopzilla.com and BizRate.com are industry leaders, offering millions of shoppers the ability to quickly find, compare and purchase items online. BizRate also offers a consumer feedback network which allows online shoppers to rate their shopping experience.
As a User Interface Engineer at Shopzilla I played a key role as Lead Front End Developer for the User Experience Team and later the International Team through the application of Agile workflow methodology.
As a member of the User Experience Team, my work consisted solely of testing and applying online usability solutions to the US Shopzilla web site. As a member of the International Team, I was responsible for all front-end needs of Shopzilla’s and BizRate’s UK, French and German web sites.

As a front-end developer at Shoes.com, it was my job to help with integrating and updating all aspects of their web site.
I also played a key role in creating and mantaining the front-end aspect of numerous Shoes.com affiliate web sites such as LAGearShoes.com, BlueFireSports.com, CarlosShoes.com, LifeStride.com & Naturalizer.com and was given the opportunity to learn ASP.net basics through Shoes.com’s platform change from ASP.
